4. Can I chose the specific games I want on the UltraCade system▪
Yes! You can customize each UltraCade anyway you like. Each system advertised comes with the standard
86 Game Package listed above - Then you can add on any of the games you like that are listed below
5. What classic arcade games can be added to the base UltraCade system with 86 games▪
Click here for current list of all games that can be added to UltraCade Gaming Systems
6. How does UltraCade work▪
All games ordered initially are pre-loaded at the factory into the UltraCade interface for your convenience. For games bought later down the road, you simply load the contents of each UltraCade "Game Pack" via UltraCade's easy-to-use graphical interface into your "game library" on the system hard drive, a very simple and automated process. Then you choose which games from the game library are presented on-screen as available games (most people just select all games). You can also change game settings such as coinage/free-play, difficulty level for each game, etc., using the library interface if you wish. When done, players then choose which games they want to play from the on-screen player menu. You may purchase and load hundreds of new games into each UltraCade system's game library by purchasing additional Game Packks and new games from us as they are released by the factory.
7. How do you choose a specific game▪
The "attract mode" of the UltraCade player interface displays the game title, title marquee and the original title attract mode for each available game in the system's game library, or specific games that were chosen by you. To chose a game, the player uses the joystick and buttons to select the game he or she wants to play. During this selection process, the UltraCade system displays a "sample" screen of each game in its library to refresh your memory as to what a game is like on-screen before you select it! After game selection, UltraCade displays on screen all the instructions for playing the specific game. Once the game is over, the player can then re-select the same game, or select a different game for the next play. A unique feature of UltraCade is that players may also stop play during a game to change games!
8. How do you add new games to the UltraCade System▪
You add new games by inserting UltraCade "Game Pack" CD-ROM or USB Drive into the system. Then, after pressing the "Test" button (located by opening the coin door), you select the "Load Game Pack" option from the system menu. The UltraCade system software loads the new games onto the system's hard drive or flash memory and the games become part of the game library, which can store literally thousands of UltraCade games. You are
able to select any combination of the games from the game library. These are shown in the Select Games option
in the system menu and then become the player attract mode screen available games. The selected games are automatically displayed on-screen for the player interface in the player attract mode with the individual game marquee, title, game rating and actual game attract mode. In addition to selecting the available games, you can also use the system menu to set "free-play" mode (no coins) or if you wish to change options for individual games, game play,
set number of plays per credit, the cost of a single play, difficulty level per game, etc.- typical of many advanced commercial coin-operated games. The system menu is so simple (but so powerful) that loading a new Game Pack
and setting up the available games only takes a couple of minutes!
9. What comes in an UltraCade Game Pack▪
An UltraCade Game Pack includes a game CD or USB Drive containing all the games in the Game Pack
and all supporting documents about the games. Adding new games to UltraCade is a simple process!
10. Will every UltraCade Game Pack have eights games on them▪
Not every one. Some Game Packs may have fewer, some may have more and many are just a single games.
But you will always be able to select & display in the player attract mode any available games from the Game
Library for players to choose from, making it easy for you to keep your game choices fresh and exciting!
11. Can I put my own PC-based games on UltraCade▪
No. For highest game performance and for game security purposes, the UltraCade runs on a unique, proprietary
high-speed operating system (OS) that does not currently support either PC or MAME games at this time.
12. What about reliability and maintenance▪
While the UltraCade System is designed for commercial coin-operated environments, in a "home-use" environment,
you can expect very little to zero maintenance needs for years to come! With a lifetime failure rate of less than 2%,
the hardware platform has proven itself extremely reliable in commercial environment, which translates into years
of maintenance-free service in a residential setting (and a very long life in commercial setting as well!)
